About the event
Welcome sistar! This is not your ordinary online workshop...
Part educational exploration, part embodied journey, this seasonal online gathering will weave together the ancient practice of wildcrafting with the beloved Amanita Muscaria, exploring what it means to harvest with awareness, reciprocity, respect, and care for the ecosystems that make this mushroom possible.
We’ll begin our time together in a sharing circle, creating space to arrive, connect, and drop in. From there, we’ll explore the educational theme of the session, learning about Amanita Muscaria in its natural habitat and what it means to develop a respectful relationship with this mushroom and the land from which it comes. We’ll explore ethical and sustainable wildcrafting practices, responsible harvesting, mushroom identification, habitat awareness, preparation ideas/tips, and the importance of leaving enough behind for the forest and future generations. We’ll also reflect on the deeper question: What does it mean to harvest from the Earth…
